Know your hair
Ever wondered why your hair won't hold shape? Wanting to know why your hair stands up on end like a brush when cut short? Wondering why your hair is oilier and flatter than other peoples?
The thickness of your hair plays a big role in how it will look with different haircuts and styles. Knowing your hair's thickness will allow you to choose the right haircut and style for your face shape.
Use the guide below to determine your hair thickness
(This is not to be confused with density. Thickness is related to the individual hair follicle and how wide each strand is, density relates to how many individual hairs are on your head. You can have a head of dense fine hair or sparce thick hair.)
Fine
Is your hair: Oily, Flat and/or very soft?
You've got fine hair.
Fine hair, whilst difficult to style, is not as bad as you think. You'll probably look like a member of the beatles after using conditioner and be enemies with any type of wind.

Average
If your hair is average you probably know by now. This is the most common hair type, neither thick nor thin it's a good medium. Easily stylable and washable.
Average hair has some volume and body to it.
Thick
Can your hair withstand a breeze? Do you look like a cactus when your hair is buzz cut? Does your hair keep styled all day? You've most likely got thick hair.
Thick hair is seen as the most beautiful type of hair. Full of body and shape you're pretty lucky if you have thick hair. This type of hair however is quite resistant and can be frustrating to style at times, it will however hold shape for the whole day and can be cut quite short whilst still looking good. (Just not too short)
